We created an inventory over the summer of COVID-19 vaccination programs and services in the Chicagoland metro area. We identified over 178 programs. Then we conducted interviews with 35 of the programs to determine needs. A final report of outcomes is forthcoming. Contact Molly Martin for details.
UIC, Rush, Northwestern, Loyola, and University of Chicago are conducting evaluations of specific COVID-19 vaccination programs to better understand the types of partnerships and strategies. The results of these strategies will guide future vaccination programs.
The National NIH CEAL Program has created a Common Survey that examines COVID-19 beliefs and behaviors, specifically as they pertain to vaccination and participation in research. Equal Hope has begun distribution of that survey in Chicago community locations to add our data to this national resource. Other surveys are also underway locally and we hope to merge those data. Contact Anne Marie Murphy for more information.
Structural Racism Model
We are creating a model that describes the impact structural racism has had on COVID-19 vaccination. Currently this uses only historical policy data and some of the needs assessment data. Contact Monique Jindal for more information.
