COVID-19 Surveys and Analyses

All CEAL programs across the United States conducted a survey of individual beliefs and behaviors regarding COVID-19 vaccination. Our local survey was led by Equal Hope. Equal Hope CHWs began implementing the survey in December of 2021. In November 2022, Loyola University Chicago also began implementing the survey in suburban Cook County. By January 2023, over 700 surveys had been completed. Analyses are now ongoing, both locally and nationally, to understand vaccination and research beliefs and how they are associated with structural racism and discrimination. Additional analyses of structural racism and vaccination are being conducted using other data sources as well.
