Population Data Use Evaluation

We are conducting an evaluation of how community organizations use publicly availably population-level data, like the census and the Chicago Health Atlas. The goal is to understand what needs community organizations have for these kinds of data, what type of infrastructure they might need in order to use the data, and what kinds of supports would be useful for them. This evaluation involves surveys and interviews with community organizations around the Chicago metro area.

Another ongoing evaluation is a case study with one community organization that aims to determine the specific operational infrastructure and training needed for a community organization to effectively and sustainably access and use population-level data.
